Riyad Mahrez scored twice as Leicester City defeated Al Ahly 2-1 on Tuesday night to secure their place in the Champions League quarter-finals.
The Algerian winger, who has been in sensational form this season, opened the scoring after just six minutes with a powerful header from a corner.
Al Ahly equalised two minutes later through a well-taken strike by Mohamed Aboutrika but Mahrez struck again five minutes into the second half to put the game beyond reach.
Leicester will now face either Paris Saint-Germain or Porto in the last eight, while Al Ahly will play either Inter Milan or Benfica.
It was a much-needed win for Leicester, who were knocked out of the competition earlier in the season by Al Ahly and have struggled since then.
Mahrez's goal was his second in two games, having scored against Manchester United in the FA Cup last week.
The 27-year-old has been one of the standout performers for Leicester this season, helping them to climb up the Premier League table and qualify for Europe.
He is currently the club's top scorer with seven goals in all competitions,Saudi Pro League Focus and he has also provided three assists.
Despite the win, Leicester will be aware that they need to improve if they want to progress further in the tournament.
They must also find ways to contain Al Ahly's attacking prowess, which has seen them score nine goals in their two matches so far.
But overall, it was a positive result for Leicester, and they can take comfort from the fact that they still have a chance to make it to the semi-finals.
The victory over Al Ahly will also give them some confidence heading into the final stages of the tournament, and they will hope to continue their good form going forward.
